-Helped us see which different type of Gemstones, and ores there are. This made it easy for us to match the color of the legos with a corresponding ore, or gemstone.

- In this journal various techniques are explained to mine materials out of the earth.  using drilling and blasting. These techniques inspired the use of dynamite, since dynamite is one of the most well known explosives.

-This documentary was used as inspiration for conflict between miners. Displays the feuds that can arise between miners. It also represents the concept of having limited resources to complete a task/job. On the context of the documentary their limited resources are workers with difficulty completing a job, whereas in our game the limited resources are building pieces with difficulty completing your assigned task.

-Minecraft was also an inspiration and it shares many concepts with our board game. It uses resource management in a similar way. And objects must be mined for and be kept in inventory. Also uses the aspect of building with bricks/blocks, and uses the concept of constructing a base and navigation around a grid as well.
